Therapy Assistants are a valued part of the team at The Finding Group. They work under the guidance and supervision of our qualified therapists to support children in achieving their communication, learning, and development goals.
They play an important role in helping therapy plans come to life—providing consistent, engaging, and tailored support that complements the work done in specialist sessions.
Therapy Assistants work one-on-one with children in our clinic, at school, or at home. Their role is to deliver therapy activities that have been carefully designed by a supervising therapist. These sessions help children practise and consolidate skills in a way that’s fun, supportive, and goal-oriented.
Our Therapy Assistants:
Implement therapy plans designed by a qualified Speech-Language or Occupational Therapist
Build warm, trusting relationships with children
Create playful, motivating sessions that align with each child’s interests
Offer consistent support, especially when children need more frequent input
Communicate progress back to the lead therapist to help guide next steps
